GATE POSTS

Our gate posts are four-way topped and are ungraded, treated-sawn softwood.

These posts are used as gate posts, 2 feet of which must be set in the ground to allow for extra strength and durability when hanging your gate.

The weathered four-way top promotes rain to run off, thus decreasing the chance of rot.

We recommend:

5″ x 5″ gate posts for smaller 3 or 4 feet wide pedestrian gates.

6″ x 6″ gate posts for field gates from 4 feet to 7 feet.

7″ x 7″ gate posts for field gates from 7 feet to 12 feet.

8″ x 8″ gate posts for field gates from 12 feet to 14 feet.

We offer a bespoke cutting service at an additional charge.

Sizes available: 2.4m

Treated sawn softwood (Ungraded Sawn Carcassing) is unsuitable for structural purposes.
