Grit Sand

Grit Sand is our coarsest sand and has many uses, such as patios, block paving, footpaths and driveways.

Also known as sharp sand or concrete sand

It can also be used in applications requiring greater strength and solidity, such as concrete mixes, less flexible mortar mixes, paving, and floor screeds.

Grit sand is often used as a top layer on aggregate sub-bases and can also be mixed with plastering and building sand in mortar mixes.

The larger grain size promotes better drainage.

Please note: this product is naturally sourced, so that it may vary in colour, size, and texture.

Available sizes: 22kg Handy Bags & Bulk bags.

One bulk bag will cover approximately 10m² at 30-40mm deep.

One handy bag will cover approximately 0.5m² at 30-40mm deep.
